2024 Academy Awards Animation Nominations to be Presented This Saturday at the Academy Museum

This Saturday, March 2, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will host two programs dedicated to the 2024 Academy Award nominees for animated short films.

Held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the day will begin at 11 a.m. with an introductory panel featuring all five animated short film nominees, followed by a screening of each film.

At 4 p.m., representatives from at least four of the five nominated animated feature films will join the panel to discuss their films and their approach to the filmmaking process. The panel will be moderated by Hitoko Goto and Marlon West, the Academy's Governor of Animated Short Films and Feature Films.

Throughout the day, attendees will have access to the Museum's Sidney Poitier Grand Lobby, where items from this year's nominated films will be on display. Exhibits will include concept artwork, character maquettes, and reference materials.

Those interested in attending should be aware that seating for both presentations is on a first-come, first-served basis. Also, both panels are separate events and require separate admission fees.
