Viva Pictures will provide your child with a 2 for 1 ticket to an upcoming theatrical release.

Indie animation distributor Viva Pictures, which recently released several animated feature films in the United States, including "Inspector Sun and the Curse of the Black Widow" and "Amazing Maurice," today announced a new initiative at CinemaCon called the KidKid Companion Pass.

The goal of the program is to make cinema more affordable for families. For every child ticket purchased at Viva Pictures, the cinema will provide a second child ticket at no additional charge. [Victor Elizalde, CEO of Viva Pictures, said, "We believe that stories should be shared and enjoyed together. By offering the Kidd Kidd Companion Pass, we are making it easier for people to create memories at the movies."

The Kiddo Kompanion Pass will be available starting with the company's next theatrical release, the Spanish-Chinese co-production Dragonkeeper (trailer below), which will be released on May 3. It will also apply to "200% Wolf" (August 23), the sequel to the 2020 Australian film "100% Wolf."

Viva's latest film, "Epic Tails" from France's Tat Productions, was released last weekend and grossed $355K from 773 theaters. The film averaged $459 per theater, higher than Disney's recent theatrical releases of "Luka," "Turning Red," and "Soul."
