Interview with Chris Sanders, Jacob Hjort Jensen, Heidi Jo Gilbert and Raymond Zivac for "Wild Robot

DreamWorks Animation's "Wild Robot" was one of the most anticipated sneak peaks at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, and audiences attending the event were well rewarded with the film's emotionally resonant images. Written and directed by Chris Sanders, three-time Oscar nominee for "Lilo & Stitch" and "How to Train Your Dragon," "Wild Robot" is also his first animated feature in over a decade.

Cartoon Brew sat down with Sanders in Annecy to hear about the making of the film, which is set for release in the US on September 27. Also participating in the chat were Jacob Hjort Jensen, head of character animation at Wild Robot, Heidi Jo Gilbert, head of story, and Raymond Zivac, production designer.

Sanders and crew spent time discussing the creative process of revealing the robot Roz's personality, the stylistic choices made in the film, and how those choices would affect the story. An interview with Cole Delaney is below.
